UBC International Scholars Program 2027

The University of British Columbia (UBC) offers the International Scholars Program to support outstanding international students who demonstrate strong academic performance, leadership potential, meaningful community involvement and significant financial need.

The programme offers financial assistance to eligible students seeking to pursue their first undergraduate degree at UBC's Vancouver or Okanagan campus in the September 2027 intake.

Awards are designed to help eligible students access a university education in Canada. The amount and coverage depend on the award and the applicant's assessed financial circumstances.

Eligibility Requirements

• Being an international student who will study in Canada on a Canadian study permit.
• Entering UBC directly from secondary school or being in the eligible stage of the transition to university.
• Applying for the applicant's first undergraduate degree.
• Demonstrating outstanding academic performance and strong intellectual ability.
• Showing leadership, community involvement and meaningful extracurricular contributions.
• Demonstrating significant financial need that would otherwise prevent attendance at UBC.
• Meeting UBC's admission requirements and any award-specific requirements.

This programme is intended for undergraduate applicants, not students applying for master's or doctoral programmes.
