Chevening Scholarships 2027–2028
Applications are open for the Chevening Scholarships 2027–2028, a fully funded scholarship programme for professionals from eligible countries, including Nigeria, to pursue a one-year taught master’s degree in the United Kingdom.
What the Scholarship Covers
Successful scholars receive financial support that includes:
- Full tuition fees for an eligible UK master’s programme.
- Monthly living allowance.
- Return economy airfare to the UK.
- Arrival and departure allowances.
- Visa application fee support.
- Travel grants for approved Chevening events.
- Access to networking, leadership and professional development opportunities.
- Membership of the global Chevening alumni network.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must meet the Chevening eligibility requirements, including:
- Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory, including Nigeria.
- Hold an undergraduate degree that qualifies the applicant for entry to a UK postgraduate programme.
- Have at least 2,800 hours of work experience.
- Apply to three different eligible UK master’s courses.
- Be able to secure an unconditional offer from at least one of the selected courses within the required timeline.
- Meet the other Chevening eligibility requirements.
Application Requirements
Applicants will need to provide information about their:
- Education history.
- Work experience.
- Leadership and influencing experience.
- Networking and relationship-building experience.
- Study plans.
- Career goals.
- Two referees.
Applicants should also prepare their application essays and research eligible UK master’s programmes before submitting their application.
